Job Summary:

Graphic Packaging is seeking a highly skilled HS&E Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the implementation of plant safety and health programs in support of corporate-wide safety and health guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and assistance to plant staff in achieving superior safety, environmental, and health performance.
  • Identify and appraise conditions that could produce safety incidents and evaluate potential extent of injuries resulting from safety incidents.
  • Develop and implement safety incident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and incidents and prepare reports.
  • Serve as a liaison with outside organizations, such as fire departments, OSHA, and healthcare providers to assure information exchange and mutual assistance.

Requirements:
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in environmental health and safety).
  • One - two years of Safety and Environmental Management experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards with regard to general industry.
  • Ability to train, influence, and motivate team members.
  • Experience with problem-solving, project management, and technical writing.
  • Proficient with MicroSoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
