About the Role

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a skilled CDL driver to join our team. As a CDL driver, you will play a critical role in transporting and delivering construction materials to our customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Drive tractor-trailer combinations or tri-axle dump trucks to transport and deliver materials.
  • Inspect and maintain trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Submit reports and maintain driver logs according to I.C. regulations.
  • Follow standard procedures for equipment maintenance and load/unload materials safely.
  • Perform general physical activities, including cleaning, inspecting, and lifting.
Requirements
  • Related CDL experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license and be a company-approved driver.
  • Must have current long-form physical and medical cards.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, and tolerate exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.
