Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development and execution of systems engineering processes aimed at optimizing the performance and deployment of space-related software solutions.
  • Assess and propose enhancements to current architectural frameworks and engineering designs to improve system efficiency.
  • Engage effectively with team members and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for Technology Status Reviews, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to the coordinated master schedule (CMS) and take responsibility for specific project components.
  • Utilize sound judgment to identify and mitigate risks that may affect project timelines and resource management.
  • Serve as a representative in resolving complex technical challenges and fostering innovative solutions.
  • Proactively identify and address technical obstacles to maintain project progress and uphold quality standards.
  • Minimal travel may be required (< 10%).
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience; OR a minimum of 6 years with a Master's degree; OR a minimum of 3 years with a PhD. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Must possess a Top-Secret clearance with the capability to upgrade to TS/SCI and undergo a polygraph as required.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting systems engineering processes throughout the software lifecycle, including analysis, planning, design, development, integration, testing, and configuration.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in a technical field.
  • At least two years of experience within the Intelligence Community, focusing on systems engineering.
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on experience in software or hardware integration roles.
  • Knowledge of defensive space control strategies, including space operations and mission protection.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise and System Architecture principles.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Understanding of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with software-centric systems.
  • Holder of SAFe certification or experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Proven ability to work independently and engage effectively with stakeholders.
