Job Summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for designing, teaching, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff in various clinical areas and hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, teach, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff in various clinical areas and hospital departments.
  • Assist the facility with compliance to regulating standards, quality improvement, and programs focusing on customer service.
  • Act as a clinical resource, develop and oversee monthly education calendar, and review policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and nursing literature for evidence-based clinical guidelines and standards of care.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, oversee and develop mentor, preceptor, and residency programs, and assess data relevant to learner's progress.
  • Collaborate closely with CNO, Director of Nursing, and nursing management to ensure quality issues or performance issues are resolved.
Requirements
  • MSN degree
  • Minimum of 2 years general practice and 3 or more years experience in an OR, PACU, or Perioperative area (adult population)
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Course completion in IV Therapy required
  • ACLS and Critical Care certification a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Word Documents, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
