Job Summary

Mitchells Agency is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development and optimization of computer vision algorithms for our autonomous weapons platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models that can operate in resource-constrained environments while maintaining high accuracy and reliability.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong background in machine learning and computer vision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and deploying computer vision systems, ideally in real-time or safety-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of computer vision algorithms for our autonomous weapons platform, focusing on real-time detection, tracking, and classification.
  • Design and implement machine learning models that can operate in resource-constrained environments while maintaining high accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate computer vision algorithms into hardware and software systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base for computer vision systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in computer vision and machine learning.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on machine learning and computer vision.
  • 6+ years of experience working on machine-learning-based computer vision, ideally in the context of robotics.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying computer vision systems, ideally in real-time or safety-critical applications.
  • Proficient in Python, C++, and experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Experience with embedded systems and integrating computer vision algorithms into hardware.
  • Familiarity with various sensors (e.g., cameras, LIDAR, RADAR) and their integration into autonomous systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
