About the Role

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and successful surgical procedures within our operating rooms. Working closely with surgeons and nurses, you'll be responsible for preparing instruments, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting throughout the surgical process.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with surgeons to understand their needs and prepare the operating room accordingly.
  • Maintain a sterile field by meticulously cleaning and preparing the operative site, as well as organizing instruments and supplies.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedures, passing instruments and equipment promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with patient positioning and draping, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the surgery.
  • Perform accurate surgical counts of sponges, sharps, instruments, and other items to prevent any loss or misplacement.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient operating room environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are clean, sterilized, and readily available for use.

Your Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
