Supervisory Teacher Position

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis is seeking a dedicated and compassionate leader to serve as a Supervisory Teacher at its Northside Child Development Center.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a classroom, planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program for assigned groups, and supervising classroom staff. They will also be responsible for maintaining positive relationships among staff, children, parents, volunteers, and community.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and strong beginnings standards.
- Supervise children at all times and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing room orientation and continual support and guidance.
- Coordinate daily programming and ensure all areas of development are met.
- Ensure communication with parents daily and coordinate with them to meet their child's needs.
- Coordinate and supervise programming, lesson plans, assessments, and documentation.
- Review and ensure the relevance, accuracy, and timeliness of data and reporting for purposes of accountability and client outcomes.
- Supervise and work with children's individual needs, meeting them where they are.
- Work cooperatively and respectfully with all staff, supervisors, management, and volunteers.
- Must meet Minnesota Department of Human Services licensing qualifications as stated in Rule 3 for a Teacher.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related field preferred.
- Experience working in center-based child-care.
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current proof of insurance coverage.
- Ability to work with those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, mental illness, or low-income populations.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 25lbs without assistance, and walk or stand for more than 2 hours per shift.
