Peer Recovery Support Specialist/Wellness Coach Level 2: Community Based

DescriptionNorthCare is seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our compassionate team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, combining lived experience with specialized training to make a real difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive, integrated services that are culturally competent and trauma-informed.
- Advocate for clients within our community and NorthCare, ensuring they receive the support needed for recovery and independent living.
- Conduct health promotion activities, including vital checks, health education, and lifestyle interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support behavior change and treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and meet productivity expectations outlined by management.

- High school diploma or GED required; additional higher education preferred.
- Certification as an ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Specialist and Wellness Coach (or obtainable within 60 days of hire).
- Experience in community mental health or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word and general computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required.
- Commitment to maintaining CPR, First Aid, and other required certifications.
- Adherence to dress code and professional conduct standards.
- Flexibility to work in various community settings and adhere to agency policies.
