Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Behavior Analyst to join our team at POSITIVE ASPIRED LEARNING. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to students with behavioral challenges through the application of evidence-based practices.

Full-Time Behavior Analyst:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
  • Utilize data analysis to create effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other staff to formulate comprehensive support strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and assess the effectiveness of implemented interventions.
  • Apply effective behavioral strategies for classroom management.
  • Provide training and resources to educators and support staff on behavior management techniques and BIP implementation.
  • Develop educational materials related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for various stakeholders.
  • Offer ongoing coaching and professional development in ABA principles and practices.
  • Collaborate with diverse staff across various educational settings to enhance understanding of ABA methodologies.
  • Engage with families to support the application of behavior plans in home environments.
  • Establish and oversee data collection systems to track student progress and BIP fidelity.
  • Analyze data to inform decisions and adjust intervention plans as needed.
  • Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide meetings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including special education professionals and therapists.
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and assist in setting student goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, intervention plans, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present reports on student progress and program effectiveness to stakeholders.
  • Travel between various educational sites as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to the academic calendar of the institution.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess the BCBA credential.
  • Experience in an educational setting with students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
  • State licensure or certification as mandated.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to effectively engage with a diverse student population and their families.
  • Current residency in New Jersey or a nearby area.
  • Exhibit core values of community, integrity, and professional development.
