Overview:
Become a vital part of our organization as a Warehouse Operations Specialist, a full-time role that mirrors the responsibilities of a Rigger classification. This position begins with a mandatory Training Period designed to equip you for success in our dynamic workplace. Upon completion of training, you will be assigned to a production shift and may be required to work additional hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our production workflow. Your responsibilities will differ based on your shift, production demands, and directives from your supervisor, including:
- Operate Overhead Crane Systems: Safely and efficiently manage steel beams, plates, and assemblies.
- Handle Steel and Equipment: Move and position small steel pieces and shop equipment weighing between 10 to 50 pounds.
- Support Steel Preparation: Assist in cleaning and painting steel, including handling paint and solvents.
- Drive Forklifts and Tractors: Utilize forklifts and tractors to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload: Effectively load and unload trucks and rail cars using the appropriate equipment.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Carry out yard and building cleaning duties, contributing to the upkeep of our facilities and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Applicants should possess adequate strength, mobility, dexterity, vision, hearing, and stamina to perform these tasks with minimal assistance.
Additional Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma is preferred.
- Independence: Ability to follow instructions effectively and work autonomously.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and foster a positive work atmosphere.
