About the Role

We are seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to join our team at Providence St. Jude Medical Center. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide perioperative care to patients, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative recovery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate from nursing school with a diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Currently enrolled in a BSN program with an expected graduation date within 6 months of hire.
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Three years: Diversified perioperative Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years: Diversified RNFA experience.
