Position Overview:
Dexian is looking for a Manufacturing Planner to support a client in the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in fulfilling airline customer demands
- Ensure parts meet FAA certification standards, document part interchangeability, and develop preferred spare part configurations
- Collaborate with Engineering teams and communicate with clients for order specifications
- Examine engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Source, transfer, and manage both vendor and proprietary components
- Partner with Engineering to resolve interchangeability challenges
- Engage with suppliers to establish part configurations for interim part numbers
- Develop and maintain supplier specification plans and basic Bill of Materials in PDM and CAPP for various part numbers
- Assess processes necessary for fabricating parts (both metallic and non-metallic)
- Determine tooling requirements for part fabrication and identify alternative tools if necessary
- Operate under general supervision
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical manufacturing planning experience
- At least 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
- Minimum of 3 years of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- 3+ years of experience in utilizing professional written and verbal communication skills to meet objectives
- AA degree in a related field and typically 1 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical publications, and specifications
- US Citizenship required
- W2 employment only
- On-site position
