Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, including preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of a sonography certification program.
  • No experience required, but a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and practices is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
