Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team for the school year starting in August 2024. The successful candidate will provide academic support to students, assist teachers with classroom activities, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students, including tutoring and credit recovery
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, such as lesson planning and data collection
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, including supervising students and managing behavior
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as keeping attendance records and implementing safety protocols
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement instructional strategies and assessments
Qualifications
  • At least 60 hours of college credit from an accredited college/university or a successful completion of the ETS Para-Pro exam or a CDA completion
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Education, or another Liberal Arts Program (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with student incentive programs
  • Experience working with students in a tutoring or substitute teaching capacity
