Position Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing all Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Programs at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) within our esteemed level 1c facility.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will foster a supportive environment for PM&R faculty engaged in research initiatives at the VA, while also spearheading efforts to enhance scholarly investigations within the organization.

Compensation and Benefits:
VA provides a comprehensive total rewards package, including:
- Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
- Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potential 5 days for Continuing Medical Education).

Licensure:
Must possess a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. State or territory.
Continuing Medical Education:
Eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year (must be full-time with board certification).

Administrative Duties:
This position includes overseeing staff involved in rehabilitation programs, ensuring effective delivery of PM&R services during administrative hours, and addressing patient feedback to optimize safety and satisfaction.
Additionally, the role involves validating labor mapping, developing clinical screening processes for timely patient scheduling, and participating in the recruitment of qualified healthcare professionals.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the basic requirements, including U.S. citizenship, a degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine from an accredited institution, and completion of residency training in an approved specialty.
Preferred Experience:
Three or more years of supervisory experience and two years of providing physical medicine and rehabilitation care, with board certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Light lifting and carrying, walking, standing, and working closely with others are required.
