Job Summary

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Physician to serve as the Chief of the Diagnostic Radiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading the department to achieve its goals.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement the provision of care, ensuring adequate personnel, diagnostic equipment, and supplies are available to meet the needs of the facility.
Provide a timely and quality product, implementing and evaluating quality assurance metrics to ensure the highest standards of care.
Develop and implement standard procedures and protocols to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.
Monitor activities to improve patient safety, performance, and quality, maintaining a safe medical imaging environment.
Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of patient medical information, adhering to federal statues, VHA directives, and policies.

Requirements

Must be a licensed, board eligible Diagnostic Radiologist with a strong background in patient care and leadership.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and a passion for leading and mentoring others.
Be proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
