Position Title: Educational Support Specialist - Health Careers

Temporary Role

$17-$27 per hour

Work Schedule:

Up to 25 hours per week; flexible hours based on availability

Key Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, assist with instructional activities in a lab-equivalent environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide one-on-one or group assistance to students in a laboratory setting.
  • Collect and review homework and daily assignments for accuracy, noting errors and recording grades.
  • Support the instructor with classroom tasks.
  • Oversee groups of students in split lab environments while the instructor engages with another group.
  • Address student inquiries during class and lab sessions.
  • Supervise laboratory activities.
  • Proctor examinations.
  • Maintain records of student assignments, due dates, and daily grades.
  • Prepare displays and equipment for lab demonstrations.
  • Conduct lab demonstrations.
  • Develop handouts, tests, and other instructional materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of experience in a relevant vocational field, such as health careers, administration of justice, automotive arts, skilled trades, or culinary management. An Associate's degree is preferred.
