At Encova Insurance, we are seeking a talented Software Development Intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience in software development and contribute to the growth of our company.

The estimated salary for this position is $22.00 per hour. As a Software Development Intern, you will assist full-time associates in analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions using leading-edge technologies to deliver and enhance our core applications and supporting systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert data mappings to spreadsheets for data governance
  • Work within cross-functional groups to support all aspects of the SDLC: requirements, estimates, build, testing, deployment, and transition
  • Illustrate key concepts through process descriptions, workflows, and use cases
  • Work alongside developers to create system specifications
  • Seek out new ideas to improve applications and infrastructure
  • Work with business and QA to prepare test plans and evaluate test results for application implementations
  • Modify or update an integration solution document based on the business and technical requirements, workflow, data flows, data mappings, and architectural design

Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours with an accredited college or university
  • Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree; preference may be given to Computer Science or related major
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work independently and on a team
  • Excellent analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Agile or iterative software development methodology is preferred
  • Knowledge in formal requirements gathering is preferred
