About the Job

Fairview Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at our M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital location in Burnsville, MN.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our fast-paced and highly technical ICU environment. As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized nursing plans, and implementing interventions to achieve desirable outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care
  • Implement interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care
  • Evaluate care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes
  • Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes
  • Coordinate care with members of the healthcare team and delegate responsibilities as appropriate
  • Demonstrate the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes
  • Promote a culture of evidence-based practice by participating in available opportunities
Qualifications
  • Valid RN license from the MN Board of Nursing
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • Certification in a related specialty
  • A minimum of one year current medical surgical RN experience in a hospital setting
  • One year adult critical care experience
  • Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing or in a related specialty
