Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our delivery operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Safety and Compliance: Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and report any safety issues or repairs required.
  • Delivery Operations: Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule, unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all required paperwork associated with freight, including count checks and customer invoices, and maintain accurate records of hours of service.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as logistics or transportation.
  • Licenses and Certifications: CDL-A license required.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
