Key Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery; candidates with experience must hold Board Certification
- Eligibility to secure a medical license and DEA in the state of practice
Role Highlights:
- Collaborate with a well-established team of cardiothoracic surgeons, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
- Engage in a practice with a significant operative volume, handling numerous cardiac and thoracic cases, with anticipated growth.
- The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive skills in various cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, and thoracic aortic surgery, as well as catheter skills for advanced programs.
- Proficiency in General Thoracic surgery techniques, including VATS and robotic surgery, is highly valued.
- Participate in a call rotation of 1:3, ensuring balanced work-life integration.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialist, you will:
- Ensure adequate call coverage by coordinating with medical staff for time off.
- Uphold the standard of care for the patient population.
- Manage clinical decisions within your practice during service hours.
- Advise on operational policies, including budgeting, managed care participation, and risk management.
- Provide after-hours call coverage and maintain patient appointments.
- Engage in community service and educational activities as needed.
- Oversee quality assurance and compliance within the practice.
- Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent communication through speech and active listening.
- Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of light objects.
- Ability to engage in various physical activities, including reaching and data entry.
- Occasional driving and movement of patients.
Licensure and Certification:
Must hold the necessary medical licenses and credentials for practice.
