Job Overview

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team focused on carbon-free technologies such as Small Modular Reactors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform integrated engineering processes to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates.
  • Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings in compliance with engineering principles and applicable standards.
  • Prepare and review design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines.
  • Recognize, define, and resolve problems within assigned area.
  • Comply with strict quality assurance standards and on-time delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in design.
  • Knowledge, application, and understanding of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capability for producing error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles.
  • Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings.
  • Experience in the preparation of P&ID, PFD, and General Arrangement drawings for skid-mounted or permanent equipment packages.
