We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at Augusta University's School of Computer and Cyber Sciences. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership in building the school's research momentum, sustaining and developing current graduate programs, and advancing the institution's mission and strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Research Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the school's research initiatives, including building and enhancing research relationships with external partners, identifying opportunities for externally sponsored research, and mentoring faculty on grant writing and management.
- Academic Affairs: Work closely with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to support existing, new, and emerging graduate programs, interact with the Graduate School, and participate in working with other colleges to expand strategically the multi-disciplinary graduate program offerings.
- Faculty Development: Assist in developing graduate research curricula and courses, support doctoral students in terms of problem resolution and career development, and assist in supporting the recruitment of outstanding faculty.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning associated with the students, faculty, and academic programs, and represent and advocate for research and graduate education issues.
- Doctoral Degree: Earned doctoral degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of seven to ten years full-time experience, with a substantial personal record in research and education.
- Rank and Salary: Professor rank, with salary and compensation commensurate with education, experience, and achievements.
