Job Summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a skilled Fire Sprinkler Systems Maintenance Technician to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems, conducting fire alarm system inspections, and assisting with fire sprinkler inspections. This is a critical role in ensuring the safety of our campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
  • Conduct fire alarm system inspections
  • Assist with fire sprinkler inspections
  • Repair, replace, and upgrade fire alarm systems
  • Commission new fire alarm systems
  • Provide timely and courteous customer service
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure clear and concise communication channels
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in journey level installation/repair/maintenance/operation of fire alarm with electronic background/fire sprinkler equipment
  • NICET Level II certification
  • Valid Commercial State Fire Alarm License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • More than four years of experience in the described role
  • Experience at the University of Texas or in a university setting

$52,225 + depending on qualifications
