We are seeking a highly skilled Grant and Contract Manager to join our team at The Chicago Lighthouse. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely processing of various activities in the accounting department, including government grant reporting, processing, and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit governmental grant and commercial contract billings as needed, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Work closely with governmental agencies and internal program counterparts to ensure contracts are fulfilled.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial clients and grant agencies to ensure successful contract management.
  • Prepare and submit grant budgets and accompanying paperwork for contract renewals.
  • Monitor and report on grant performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Previous experience with governmental grant processing in a non-profit setting.
  • Three to five years of experience in general accounting and/or financial analysis required.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills needed.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and spreadsheet applications required.
