Job Description

At Center for Primary Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. You will work closely with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to our patients, identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues and implementing solutions to improve health outcomes.

In this role, you will also be responsible for assessing patient health through interviews and physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests as needed, and interpreting results to determine the best course of treatment. Your expertise will also include instructing and counseling patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance, as well as providing emotional support and guidance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions
  • Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests as needed, and interpreting results
  • Provide instruction and counseling on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient management plans
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner/physician assistant program
  • Three years of experience as a Family Medicine NP/PA, preferred
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Current unencumbered (GA/SC) license to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) required
  • Current AANP, ANCC (NP) or NCCPA (PA) certification
