About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Squad Leader - Customer Communications to join our Brokerage Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Customer Communications Squad and driving the development of our brokerage account opening capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Customer Communications Squad and drive the development of our brokerage account opening capabilities
  • Partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence strategic decisions and roadmaps
  • Set and refine the squad mission and roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support and alignment
  • Anticipate and prioritize client needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team
  • Define, evaluate, and communicate results against acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability
  • Make informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant product development work experience
  • Bachelor's degree required (or above) in technology, finance related field
  • Securities Industry Essentials Exam and Series 99 license required within 120 days of hire
  • Proven ability to engage senior business leaders, architects, Product Area leaders and identify efficiencies in approaches that help meet firm objectives
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic products and solutions
  • Jira and Jira Align experience preferred
  • Data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered
  • Grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these
  • Strong focus on execution and identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress
  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building hard-working teams
  • Continuously improve and encourage an Agile way of working
  • Establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach
  • Proven Agile experience
  • Financial services experience, preferred
  • Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching
  • Committed to developing a balance of technology and non-technology skills in order to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customer
