Job Title: Adult Outpatient Clinician

Intercommunity Action I is seeking a skilled Adult Outpatient Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide trauma-informed therapy to underserved populations at our community-based mental health outpatient clinic.

Job Summary:

As an Adult Outpatient Clinician, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and individual, group, and family therapy to a diverse caseload of adults ages 18+. You will work closely with clients to create treatment plans and monitor progress, while also coordinating care with other involved professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide weekly client-centered, trauma-informed, individual, group, and family therapy.
  2. Engage identified support systems in treatment with client consent.
  3. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of presenting issues, diagnostic impressions, and recommended course of treatment.
  4. Create treatment plans and monitor progress in collaboration with clients.
  5. Coordinate care with other involved professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  6. Enter intake and therapy appointments into the electronic medical record at least 48 hours in advance.
  7. Meet performance metrics, including minimum billing expectations commensurate with scheduled hours.
  8. Encourage consistent attendance by reviewing attendance policy and providing weekly reminder calls.
  9. Accurately maintain all client documentation, including progress notes within 3 days of service.
  10. Refer clients for community resources and expanded mental health programming as needed.
  11. Provide crisis intervention, including safety planning and follow-up coordination of care.
  12. Complete all mandatory training to maintain state, CBH, and NIAC credentialing.
  13. Participate in clinical supervision and actively engage in EBP consultation groups.
  14. Function in full compliance with all agency policies/procedures and federal, state, and local laws.
  15. Participate in Interact's Compliance Program and report suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations.
  16. Maintain necessary clearances, continuing education, licenses, and certifications to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  17. Promote a safe work environment that embraces Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA).
Qualifications:

Contractors must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in a Human Services field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  2. Have an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
  3. Be licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience.

Clinical license not required but preferred. Previous experience providing behavioral health therapy to adults is also preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Required to show proof of Liability Insurance. Must have valid Childline, PA Criminal History, and FBI Clearances prior to seeing clients. Willingness to be trained in EBPs and maintain state, CBH, and NIAC credentialing.
