About the Role:
GEOKON is seeking highly skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in the production of vibrating wire gauges. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, comprehend, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions to accurately assemble products.
- Cable preparation, including stripping, tinning, and labeling.
- Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools.
- Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV, and other compounds.
- Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts.
- Soldering and assembling various parts to VW transducers.
- Perform quality testing/inspecting to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards.
- Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel.
- Rework and/or repair assembled products according to engineering specification changes.
- Keep accurate records/logs.
- Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of assembly experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and blueprints for complex and standard product assembly.
- Ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
