Job Description:

Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed hardware systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-speed hardware systems, including circuit boards and electronic components
  • Collaborate with internal design teams, ODMs, and IP Silicon vendors to resolve issues and improve system performance
  • Develop and implement testing scripts to automate testing and data collection
  • Work with lab equipment to validate and characterize electrical systems
  • Define and manage ODM production testing

Requirements:

  • Expertise in high-speed design, power design, and validation
  • Experience with high-speed network interfaces (10G/25G/100G/400G), PCIe, DDR4, USB 3.2, 10G Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed board bring-up and using high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, BERT, VNA, and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience with network switches and routers
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, power & signal integrity, and analog/digital circuits
