Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Buildings to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you'll be responsible for coordinating the work of electrical engineers, establishing client relations, and participating in design and production meetings. You'll also assume the electrical lead on many projects and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the work of electrical engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the project's development
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
  • Assume the electrical lead on many projects
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site
  • Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate work effort with the team to ensure completion within agreed-upon parameters
  • Work with the project manager and regional controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • PE
  • Strong computer skills including Revit, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software
  • Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • California PE
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Experience in the following market sectors: Healthcare OSHPD / HCAI, Education, Sciences, Laboratories, Civic, Technology, Data Centers
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required

The expected compensation range for this position is $121,000 to $170,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
