Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for geriatric psychiatry. This role offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for geriatric patients in various rehabilitation and assisted living settings.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain knowledge of Medicare standards and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted license and DEA registration in the relevant state.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Experience in mental health care delivery, particularly with geriatric populations, is preferred.
