Job Overview

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing Family-Centered Care, working effectively within inter-professional teams, and integrating best current evidence with clinical expertise for delivery of optimal health care.

Responsibilities
  • Provides Family-Centered Care as demonstrated by recognizing the patient, family and/or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient's preferences, values, and needs.
  • Assumes active role within the lab, functions effectively within the lab and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
  • Integrates best current evidence with clinical expertise for delivery of optimal health care, uses data to monitor the outcomes of care processes and uses improvement methods to test changes to continuously improve the quality and safety of health care systems.
  • Minimizes risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance, uses information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Associate or Baccalaureate academic program in health science.
  • 3 years of cardiac catheterization lab experience, preferred pediatric cath lab experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association, Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 Months of Hire, Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) upon hire or within 6 Months of Hire.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARRT Registered Technologist (RT) with post primary certification of Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CV).
