Key Responsibilities- Loan Origination and Processing: Perform all aspects of residential loan origination and processing functions, including prequalifying customers and guiding them through the mortgage process from application to closing.
- Sales and Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for all branch employees and customers, providing timely and periodic status updates on loan applications and handling telephone inquiries regarding our lending products.
- Loan Review and Validation: Thoroughly review and process loan applications in accordance with lending policy, applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring all customer files are complete and in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including ECOA, FHAct, CRA, FDPA, Reg. Z, TRID, RESPA, and HMDA, while mitigating risk through appropriate decision making.
- Training and Development: Provide training to bank personnel on residential lending products and policies, and maintain all documentation associated with credit files for residential loans.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with various bank departments to enhance product delivery and maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and client information.
- Knowledge and Experience: Possess extensive knowledge of loan processing procedures, current Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and mortgage insurance requirements, as well as Fannie Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Loan Prospector.
- Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate thorough understanding of all regulations, including ECOA, FHAct, CRA, FDPA, Reg Z, TRID, RESPA, and HMDA.
- Productivity and Accuracy: Consistently meet workload demands, deadlines, and maintain high levels of output, ensuring work is complete and without error.
- Interpersonal and Professional Skills: Possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm towards customer interactions, and job duties, while maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to our Code of Conduct.
