We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at PrideStaff. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the efficient packaging and loading of materials on and off of freight vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the packaging and loading of materials for national and international shipments
- Manage vendor relationships, including third-party logistics providers
- Photograph loaded shipments and upload to our internal filing system
- Perform weekly basic maintenance on equipment
- Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Receive and organize incoming inventory and perform quarterly counts
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving
- Working knowledge of freight management, including LTL and FTL
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, coworkers, and freight drivers
- Previous forklift experience is preferred but not necessary
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently throughout the day and move in and out of semi-trucks
Working Conditions:
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work full-time during normal business hours (Monday-Friday)
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- May be required to lift over 25 pounds and perform other physical tasks
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate ($20.00 per hour)
- 40-45 hours per week
- Full-time position with benefits, including 401(k), dental, health, life insurance, and paid time off
