Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer II to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures. Your expertise will help us provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain patient histories and perform pre-ultrasound procedure assessments.
  • Interact and communicate with patients, explaining procedures and reassuring them as needed.
  • Perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies of assigned locations, including echocardiographic services.
  • Adapt routine protocols to accommodate a wide range of patients and disease-states.
  • Assist physicians in the accurate acquisition of images from the esophagus.
  • Maintain cleanliness of supplies, stocks linen, and empties laundry on a daily basis.
  • Organize acquired data in the appropriate sequence to accurately represent patient conditions.
  • Display competence in identifying, documenting, and communicating critical values to interpreting physicians.
  • Participate in education and training of sonographer students, residents, medical students, and fellows.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Advanced Cardiac Sonography education program accredited by COA-ACS, or equivalent.
  • 4 years of cardiac ultrasound clinical experience as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Performed a minimum of 4000 echocardiograms.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Knowledge of IV and LVD contract administration.
Work Environment:

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.
