Position Title: Culinary Support Specialist
Reports to: Facility Manager
FLSA Status: Part-Time/Non-exempt
Department: Residential Services

Position Overview:
Passages to Recovery is in search of a committed Culinary Support Specialist to assist in the preparation and delivery of meals for our residential clientele. This position requires strict adherence to dietary regulations and food safety protocols while being attuned to the specific needs of our residents.

Primary Duties:
  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established dietary standards.
  • Work effectively with a Criminal Justice Population.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining facilities.
  • Serve meals while accommodating individual dietary restrictions.
  • Assist with inventory management and procurement of food supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or Serve Safe certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in food service, ideally within healthcare or institutional environments.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Requirements:
  • Serve Safe certification required upon hiring.
  • Ability to obtain ACT 33 & 34 Clearances.
  • Valid PA Driver's License is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be capable of standing for prolonged periods, lifting heavy items, and performing repetitive tasks.
