Job Summary:

STS Packaging, a Schwarz Partners, L.P. affiliate company, is seeking a skilled Die Cutting Operator to join their team in Mooresville, IN. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining flatbed die cutters, ensuring quality and efficiency in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect dies before and after each run to ensure repairs are made before the next run.
  • Maximize equipment utilization by operating machinery at peak capacity and speed.
  • Monitor and adhere to specifications for each customer order, ensuring quality meets required standards.
  • Maintain machine and parts in daily operations.
  • Understand machine set-up techniques for the Die Cutter.
  • Own outbound die cut quality and maintain food safety through handling of outbound pallets.
  • Make minor machine adjustments and assist with major adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Follow 5S standards according to visual aids in the department.
  • Maintain production records, adhere to schedules, and monitor output targets for each job.

Requirements:

  • High School degree or GED.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of basic quality checks and ability to follow Safety/GMP/PPE guidelines.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to take direction from the Shift Supervisor.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to read and understand instructions and job information.

Language Skills:

Fluent in English required; fluency in Spanish a plus.

Physical Demands:

Constant standing, walking, talking, hearing; occasional sitting; specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision. The position also requires the ability to stand 90% of the shift and lift up to 45 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available.

Tools Required:

Steel toe shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets. Steel toe shoes are provided by the employee, and all other tools are provided by the employer.
