We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our echocardiography department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound exams to facilitate quality patient care for patients of all ages requiring cardiac evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and complete all measurements to produce a preliminary report for patients of various ages.
- Take call on a rotational basis to perform studies or provide test results as requested.
- Provide patient/caregiver education to relieve apprehension and improve cooperation during exams.
- Respond to pages within 5-10 minutes time frame when on-call for procedures.
- Rotate to outreach/contract sites to perform ECHO's as requested.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of cardiology equipment and procedures at a level normally acquired through completion of 2-4 years of specialized courses beyond high school, as found in an echocardiography program.
- Cardiac Sonography Registered (ARDMS) or registry-eligible echocardiographer with two years echo experience.
- Previous pediatric experience preferred.
