We are currently in search of an Agricultural Sales Specialist to represent Golden Harvest Seeds in a designated territory. In this role, you will guide a team of dedicated Seed Advisers, leveraging local insights and agronomic knowledge to tackle intricate agricultural challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating access to a comprehensive and diverse selection of hybrid seeds.
- Tailoring recommendations for entire acreages based on specific customer needs.
- Recruiting, nurturing, and overseeing a network of professional resellers.
- Engaging in consultative selling, establishing expertise, and building trust with clients.
- Delivering strategic plans and proposals to targeted clientele through selected distribution partners.
- Generating demand at the customer level, ensuring thorough understanding of our offerings and fostering interest in Syngenta solutions.
- Mentoring Seed Advisors on optimal product placement to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Regularly gathering and reporting market intelligence and valuable insights from the value chain.
- Managing the operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds in accordance with district guidelines.
- Creating a territory-level business strategy and individual Seed Advisor plans that pinpoint specific opportunities and strategies for increasing sales.
Preferred Attributes
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field, or a degree in another discipline complemented by significant experience in the agricultural sector.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales or sales leadership, with a preference for candidates with agricultural sales experience.
- A strong customer-centric approach with proven sales and negotiation capabilities.
- Candidates must reside within the designated territory.
