Job Overview:

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a qualified faculty member in Internal Medicine to serve as an attending physician within the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Division. This role will be situated at a state-of-the-art diabetes center, which offers comprehensive services essential for the management of diabetes and related health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical care to patients while overseeing residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Engage in educational activities within the Division, as agreed upon with the Division Chief.
  • Contribute to the clinical research initiatives of the Division through various roles, including the development and oversight of clinical protocols, patient recruitment for clinical trials, and participation in regulatory compliance for research.
  • Represent the University of Kentucky professionally as an active member of the medical staff, including participation in medical staff affairs and adherence to evidence-based practice standards.
  • Serve on relevant committees within the Division, Department, University, Hospital, and College as designated by the Division Chief.
