Job Title: Local Delivery Driver

At Airgas, we are seeking a skilled Local Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Local Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a company-provided straight or box truck over established routes to deliver and sell products.
  • Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensuring all safety items are in good working order.
  • Load and unload compressed gas cylinders, as well as collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Interact with Airgas customers, resolving service complaints and issuing sales promotion materials.
  • Assist inside the retail branch, servicing customers at the dock, front counter, and over the phone.
Requirements:
  • Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
  • One year of Class A or B CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or graduation from an accredited driving school.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Current Medical Examiner's Card.
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets and lift up to 76 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
