This role will be responsible for developing and implementing orientation programs for new employees, conducting in-service programs, and providing education to staff, residents, and families on infection prevention and control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive orientation programs for new employees, focusing on regulatory issues and company values.
  • Conduct in-service programs based on needs assessment, state surveys, and introduction of new products and technology.
  • Provide education and training to staff, residents, and families on infection prevention and control, public health requirements, and occupational health and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and set individual goals to support staff development.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education preferred.
  • Current RN license.
  • CPR/AED certification required, CPR instructor certification highly desirable.
  • Specialized training in infection prevention and control.
  • Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
  • Educational and supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in long-term care required.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs such as EMR.
