Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at T S E INDUSTRIES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC, conventional, and special purpose machines to fabricate required parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or other provided information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently produce quality parts on a CNC plus two other, separate work centers within the Machine Shop.
  • Prepare the correct material for machining, select the most appropriate tools for the assigned tasks, and calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors.
  • Run the first piece and make adjustments as needed to ensure the part meets print specifications.
  • Be able to successfully navigate within the TSE ERP system and correctly enter data as required.
  • Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • Must be able to make/grind own tools as required.
Requirements
  • Safety Training: To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and maintain Safety Training according to the Safety Training Matrix.
  • Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college, university, or Machining Certification from a technical school and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform machinist's math and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
