We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at OCVIBE. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting our chefs and other kitchen staff in providing exceptional food service to our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for events and daily operations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate temperature controls and proper equipment to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Label, date, and rotate raw and prepped food products using the FIFO method.
  • Follow recipe guidelines to prepare food based on the current menu.
  • Practice proper work procedures, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Engage with guests and team members to provide exceptional hospitality.
  • Maintain food temperatures, quality, and appearance of prepared food to established standards.
  • Support other Food & Beverage departments as needed.
  • Work with operations counterparts to ensure event standards of service are reached.

Requirements:

  • General understanding of cooking procedures.
  • Demonstrated knife skills.
  • Able to work multiple stations in a kitchen.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Able to execute a project on time.
  • Working knowledge of state and local health code requirements.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule in all kitchen locations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to work as a team player.

Education and Certifications:

  • Less Than High School.
  • EFOOD Handlers Cert.

Experience:

  • 1-2 Year's experience in a similar role.
