Position Overview:

The Senior Supply Chain Strategist will report to the Supply Planning Manager and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the Capacity and Inventory Supply plan. This plan is crucial for meeting company demand across various regions while managing costs effectively for the assigned product portfolio. The role requires balancing customer service levels, network efficiencies, and executing an item-level inventory management strategy that optimizes inventory targets, costs, and plant efficiencies through the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a precise Supply Plan that minimizes costs while optimizing inventory for assigned products.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities and risks to leadership through the IBP process.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Plant Scheduling, and Demand Planning to create a cohesive master supply plan that aligns demand with available capacity.
  • Analyze total system inventory by SKU and devise the most economical solutions for fulfilling customer orders.
  • Work with Supply Chain Coordinators to ensure alignment of supply plans with inventory coverage metrics.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators related to supply variances and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Provide leadership and expertise across functional areas related to the assigned product portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certification from APICS is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply planning, inventory control, or related fields, preferably in food processing or packaging.
  • Experience with integrated planning systems such as ERP/DRP/MPS/MRP/CRP is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel are required.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
