Job Summary

As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and mentor CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel to ensure adherence to state licensure and professional standards.
  • Clinical Documentation and Scheduling: Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules, clinical and billing documentation, and work-related meetings.
  • Patient Care and Consultation: Attend and contribute to patient care conferences and related meetings, refer patients to other disciplines or agencies as needed, and consult with the rehabilitation team and physician to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapt programs to meet patient needs, and ensure a safe environment.
  • Communication and Education: Coordinate and instruct patients in using adaptive communication devices, identify hearing deficits, and instruct patients in therapeutic skills and techniques.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate home and community care with the interdisciplinary team and referring physician.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the practicing state(s) or proof of eligibility, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
  • Transportation and Safety: Valid driver's license or reliable transportation, and ability to ensure a safe environment and eliminate fire and safety hazards.
