We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Maricopa Water District. As a Ditch Rider Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water delivery system.
Key Responsibilities- Water Delivery and Maintenance: Ensure water delivery to maintain appropriate water levels, keeping laterals free of debris and performing general clean-up as needed, including weed control.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance as needed to ensure the integrity of our water delivery system.
- Operational Support: Assist with operational tasks in other areas as needed to support the overall efficiency of our water delivery system.
- Health and Safety: Identify and report health and/or safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience working in a maintenance capacity.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid CDL Driver's License, Class B preferred or the ability to obtain.
- Physical Demands: Requires lifting up to 50-75 pounds, extended periods of bending, stooping, squatting and occasional twisting.
- Working Conditions: Capable of working outdoors during seasonal heat and/or cold or other adverse weather conditions.
