The Maintenance Worker is responsible for providing a safe, attractive, and efficient environment for students to learn and develop. This role involves performing miscellaneous repairs and services, installing and repairing heavy equipment, and maintaining good rapport with students, employees, and community members.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of school facilities
- Install, repair, and relocate heavy equipment as needed
- Make minor plumbing and electrical repairs to maintain a safe and functional environment
- Repair and varnish wooden furniture and equipment
- Set up sound and other equipment for events and activities
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
- One year of experience in a maintenance-related field
The Maintenance Worker will frequently interact with the public and other staff members, and will occasionally stand, walk, and reach with their hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
Working Conditions:The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, and the employee will be required to work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas.
