Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Concept Plus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to provide expert-level support for our database infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong focus on database administration, security, and performance.
  • Must be located in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Oracle databases version 19c and higher, including multitenant architecture and Oracle add-on components.
  • Experience with administering databases on other DBMS platforms, including MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and other SQL-based solutions.
  • Deep understanding of various backup and recovery methods, including datapump, RMAN, cloning, and more.
  • Experience in recovering databases due to disasters or corruption, with a focus on minimizing downtime.
  • Expertise in creating logical and physical backups, as well as determining the best approach for each situation.
  • Experience with Linux and Bash scripting to monitor and manage database performance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on Oracle network issues and listener problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate concepts such as need-to-know and least privilege when configuring database access controls.
  • Experience with Oracle Advanced Security Option, including Transparent Data Encryption and PKCS certificates.
  • Expertise in configuring and implementing certificates in Oracle wallet.
  • Experience with applying Oracle security patches and version upgrades to databases and underlying binaries.
  • Experience with Oracle ORDS and APEX components, including installation, configuration, and support.
  • Knowledge of APEX API administrator commands for use on production systems.
  • Experience in administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent documentation skills to ensure accurate and comprehensive database component configuration instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Thorough testing methodology for any database change or project.
